The “Lok Sin Tong and Federation of Hong Kong Heilongjiang Association Mid-Autumn Festival Community Visit Activity” was held on 16 September, joined by volunteers from the Hong Kong office of Xinyi Group to give out mooncakes and lucky bags in Tung Tau Estate in Wong Tai Sin. The event aimed to give care to underprivileged groups in the community, especially elderly living alone and grassroots families. The volunteer teams visited each household to give out the MidAutumn Festival lucky bags, hoping to convey their sincere care and festive blessings to the recipients.
Dr LEE Yin Yee, Chairman of Xinyi Glass and Xinyi Solar (SBS, BBS, MH), said, “Mid-Autumn Festival is the time for family reunion, but there are still elderly living alone and grassroots families in society needing help and care. Our hope is to, via giving out those festival gift packs, bring warmth and care to the recipients letting them feel the support and love of the community for them. We believe that companies should shoulder social responsibilities and offer help and support to the underprivileged. Faithful to the principle of ‘taking from society, giving back to society’, Xinyi has been actively giving back to society. In the future, we will continue to wholeheartedly join charitable community activities and make positive contribution to society.”
